Coaching rate calculator
What should you charge to hit your income goal? Enter a few numbers and see the minimum session and package rate. Nothing is stored; the result is calculated in your browser.
This calculator works backwards from the income you want to the rate that supports it. It divides your target income by the billable sessions you can realistically deliver, then adds a margin for the unpaid hours every coach carries: admin, preparation, marketing and no-shows. The number it returns is a floor. It is the minimum session and package rate that keeps your practice viable, not the price your work is worth.
Read it as a starting point for a pricing conversation with yourself. If the floor sits above what your market pays, the fix is usually fewer, higher-value clients or a productised package rather than longer hours. If it sits well below your current rate, you have room to invest in growth. Value-based coaches routinely price above this line, because clients pay for outcomes, not for time on the clock.
Run it again whenever your costs, availability or income goal change. Your rate is not a decision you make once; it is a number that should move as your practice does.
